(Black) diamonds are a girl's best friend...

This is so cool. Alexander McQueen is the only one who can get away with a diamond jumpsuit and it being still super cool. I mean, look at it! If I was that tall it would totally be my new year's eve outfit! And if I was rich enough of course... But lets not talk about the money. Lets just enjoy this wonderful piece of clothes. Or should I say art. I think it is art.

The one you can always rely on, good old Giorgio

He has been in the business for many many years now. He's one of the good old guys along with Valentino, Ralph Lauren and Oscar de la Renta; you can always rely on them to make beautiful, luxurious, sophisticated, rich and wearable clothes. And Giorgio Armani didn't disappoint with his Pree-fall 2009 collection. As so many times before the colors were dark as a box of chocolate you just want to eat up! It's was very Armani like, but he has the ability to make clothes that looks the same season after season without it becoming boring. He know exactly what he is doing, and nothing in his collections are made randomly. There's a meaning with every thing down to the smallest detail. That's what  I like so much about Armani that every part of every piece of clothes or accessories item are so detailed and beautiful made. In August when I went to London, I walked in to his store on Sloane St. and fell in love with almost every thing in there. I need some Armani one day.
It was difficult for me to choose the pictures for this post, because all the pictures were so delicate. But here are some of them. Enjoy!

My London Louboutins

So I have been holding this for too long now. I promised to post a story about my beloved Christian Louboutin boots, or shoe-booties as I call them. Not really shoes and yet not really boots. Anyway, I bought these in London in August when I went there with my mother and big sister to watch an exhibition about Victor and Rolf.
I have a philosophy about Christian Louboutin shoes, and that is that I only buy them when I'm out traveling. They is one place in Copenhagen where I can get them, and I almost bought a pair some weeks ago. But then I remembered my tradition about only buying them when I'm in Paris, London or some place like.
So in August I bought these, and I'm really really happy about them. I think they are very sophisticated, chic, and yet very rock star like. So cool.

Hervé Léger you are my new love

Lanvin will always have a special place in my heart, but lately I've been falling more and more in love with Hervé Léger. For some seasons now, it has become more and more clear to me, that I relly want, I really NEED a dress by Hervé Léger. He is my new cocktail-dress-designer-God. I think any one who dares jump down a Hervé dress will have some kind of bombshell, cool attitude. In april I have my last school prom, and I'm not the type that wear a huge (wedding) dress. So my plan is that when I'm going to Paris in march I will go to Rue Cambon, and walk in to Hervé Léger just across Chanel, and try out a dress that maybe could be my prom dress. I think that could be so cool, very chik, and very sophisticated.

Zac for fall

Zac Posen returned to the firty, forties infected clothes that are his signature. Clothes that were fashionable back then with the Great Depression, so we are back to square one. Zac Posen said that he hoped his clothes would inspire during challenging times.
The collection was populated with many many dresses; little dresses, cocktail dresses, red carpet dresses and so on and so on. With a long red carpet season ahead, that is wisely done. There were some serious evening gowns, that I think Eva Longoria and Gwyneth Paltrow would fight over.

Oscar is not cutting back...

Backstage Oscar de la Renta said "sometimes you plant and sometimes you weed. This is a weeding time", he said referring to the economy, "but it's also a time of opportunity". Doomsday talk or not, de la Renta doesn't plan on cutting back a whole lot. There were as many party dresses as ever, lots of embroidered sets, feathers and gold. It was very Oscar!

From Russia with love

Paris, December 3, 2008. Paris-Moscow was the collection's theme for the pre fall show at Chanel. A lot was going on here. Many layers of chiffon, sparkling pearls, feathers, embroidered fabrics just name some of it. All that, and much more, put together with a hats that were a mix of military fur headgear and gracious religious hats, cossack boots and leather leggings. I liked some of it very much because of all the details and all embroidery. But at the end it was just too much, and there is only one place I can imagine this work, and only one kind of women that I think can pull these looks of, and that is - surprise - the russians.
