Lanvin and Chanel in a backyard

Every time I go to Paris one of the most important stops is the Lanvin store in Rue Faubourg st. Honoré. Just in between La Perla and Hermes is the boutique situated. Across it is the Lanvin shop pour homme. Last time I went there my feet where killing me because I had walked around in Paris in four hours in Lanvin high heeled boots. But I wanted to wear my Lanvin shoes when I went there, so after me and my friend left the store we went in to a backyard next to Lanvin where I changed my shoes in to some flat Chanel gold shoes. Not the most comfortable shoes in the world, but at least they where flat! Lovely to be standing in a dark backyard in Paris next to Lanvin and La Perla and change shoes. It's all about appearance.

Secret in Lanvin

I just went back from Paris. One of the most important stops in Paris for me is always the Lanvin store on Rue Faubourg Saint Honoré. On the first floor there where no people so I secretly took some pictures. I'm so in love with Lanvin!

A beautiful back

At the Lanvin show every thing just seem to work, simply everything. From the top to the bottom, from one fingertip out to the next, and from the front to the back. The back is actually a very important thing to work, because much of what you see of a person is actually the back. And who else than Alber Elbaz would do a back better?

Lanvin, Ladurée and Mac - tree things I love

I went to Paris about a month ago with my french class, and of cause I spend a lot of the free time we had on going shopping (mostly window shopping). It was the trip where I got my Lanvin evening pumps. Any way, my friend and I we went over to the fabulous mall Gallery Lafayette where I became very happy when I saw the fantastic windows! Because in all of Gallery Lafayette's windows were tree of my favorite brands displayed: Lanvin, Ladurée and MacBooks. Lanvin with its beautiful clothes. Ladurée which is a marvelous French patisserie had their lovely light green boxes in the window side my side with a lot of equipment from Mac. In my opinion this was the most perfect match. If I was to decide then every woman should wear Lanvin, eat pink cakes from Ladurée and all use MacBooks! I'm sure that the world would be a better place then.

My Lanvin shoes in London!

The Lanvin zipper

One of the many things I think is so cool about Lanvin are the out standing zippers. The very elegant and sophisticated dresses are getting a very rough look with the zippers in the back. An other funny side to it is that I went to tailor school, and I know how difficult it can be to sew in a zipper perfectly, so this is a nice solution to that problem.

The Love for Lanvin

Oh my Lord! Alber Elbaz is just amazing! I can't say it enough. He truly knows the spirit of this old french label, and knows the charms of Lanvin's signature. The necklaces were laced together with velvet like pieces from your grandmother's jewelry box. This small pree-fall collection makes me think of a Parisian café with ladies smoking cigarettes and sipping Dom Perignon like it was still the 1920's with a twist of urban coolness. I'm so happy that there's people like Alber Elbaz who really just never disappoint.

Shoes

I just wanted to show this Lanvin shoe. Pearls, simili and flowers at the same time can actually be nice.
